India all-rounders Hardik and Krunal Pandya's father, Himanshu died on Saturday due to a cardiac arrest.
Indian cricketer Hardik and Krunal Pandya's father died on Saturday morning following a heart attack. After this sad news, captain Krunal Pandya, playing the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy for Baroda, left the bio bubble and left for home.
Himanshu suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday morning and could not be revived.
It has been reported by ANI that Krunal has left the bio-bubble that he was in with the rest of the players of the Baroda team.
Krunal Pandya has left the bubble. It is a personal tragedy, Baroda Cricket Association mourns this loss of Hardik and Krunal," Baroda Cricket Association CEO Shishir Hattangadi told ANI.
Hardik and Krunal have often spoken about their parents' contribution in supporting their careers as professional cricketers. According to Hardik, Himanshu was running a small car finance business in Surat but he shut it down and moved to Vadodara to help his sons get better access to training facilities.
Himanshu then enrolled both Hardik and Krunal in former India wicketkeeper Kiran More's cricket academy in Vadodara from where the two brothers began to garner attention.
